I'm much happier now that I've resigned myself to a (hopefully short!) future of rehab. I'm guess I'm just going to turn into a really good swimmer now. :) (The sun is shining which stops my whining and curbs my pining so I am finding that silver lining which leaves me smiling). hee-hee.Stephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07149597353406544813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4234474589015691064.post-40127445151344635992010-06-13T21:36:07.367-07:002010-06-13T21:36:07.367-07:00I understand the difficulty of having an identity ...I understand the difficulty of having an identity that is all wrapped up in the physical, visceral part of our existence. I was bawling to Eric this morning about my own thwarted plans this morning and he said,"It's like you've been training for a marathon and then they told you had to stop after only running a mile." I smiled through my messy tears and thought of you. Different marathons, same frustration. Let's both keep going and perhaps we can wave to our various "selves in process" as hopefully our paths and conversations cross along the way. WE CAN DO IT!!! (That's really all we know how to do, right?) Love you! Thank you for sharing your beautiful difficulties AND tender triumphs with me!Sarah d'https://www.blogger.com/profile/13231168548380832694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4234474589015691064.post-83420767213504603412010-06-13T05:50:41.776-07:002010-06-13T05:50:41.776-07:00I'd give you a hug if I could. I think that it...I'd give you a hug if I could. I think that it's hard for someone who isn't a runner, someone who doesn't enjoy lacing up and heading out the door to do something crazy like run 20 miles on a Saturday morning before coming back to go to soccer games and ward parties, doesn't get it and probably never will. But I get it. There's nothing that makes me crazier than being injured. You'll get it back, Steph. But in the meantime, don't feel bad about needing to vent about it.Shelahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14894331035791148486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4234474589015691064.post-40327270116514597822010-06-12T20:35:40.061-07:002010-06-12T20:35:40.061-07:00i attest that the food was GREAT! way to rise abo...i attest that the food was GREAT! way to rise above the doom-and-gloom and handing out medals! next year for sure!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10256947326569462226noreply@blogger.com
